As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, the only logical response is to release our imperial stout, Hard to Handle. Let it light your candle with its bold, chocolaty, roasty flavors intertwined with hints of bourbon-soaked French oak. We’ll have a private release event for mug- and growler-club members only this Wednesday night from 7:30-9 pm, and then release it to the public on Thursday.
We’ll also be pouring at two big events this weekend: Harbor Brew Fest at the ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, and Taste of Fairfield at the Delamar Hotel in Southport.
As we mentioned last week, you can now join the mug club if you missed our Kickstarter campaign back before we opened. A one-year membership can be purchased at the brewery for $75, and gets you:
- A mug club membership card that expires one year after your date of purchase
- A 20-oz. pour for the cost of a pint
- One free mug fill during the week of your birthday (new benefit that will also be given to current mug club members)
- One free empty 32-oz. Fairfield Craft Ales logo growler (you have to pay for fills)
- 10% off any purchase of Fairfield Craft Ales merchandise at the brewery (new benefit that will also be given to current mug club members)
- Invitations to “first taste” parties for new beer releases, at which you’ll get $1 off your first mug fill (discount is a new benefit that will also be given to current mug club members)
- First dibs on subsequent year’s membership slots (but you must renew on time)
